Expression of Interest Classroom Teacher - Wewak Street School - SSP

Expressions of interest are invited from teachers interested in a career opportunity relieving in the position of classroom teacher from 27-1-17 to 19-12-17. The position with be located at:

Statement of duties

Development and demonstration of high quality teaching and learning practices that include differentiated outcomes for students with complex learning needs

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with parents and professionals

Selection criteria

Teaching qualifications and recent school based experience demonstrating quality teaching practices.

Demonstrated experience in using the Literacy and Numeracy Continuums and current data to inform the teaching and learning cycle and deliver differentiated learning for all students.

Demonstrated experience to differentiate teaching and learning using Information and Communication Technologies to enhance teaching and learning

Demonstrated ability to design evidence based Personalised Learning and Support Plans

Ability to collaborate with colleagues and develop partnerships with the school community to engage students, parents and the community.

Ability to teach students with moderate or severe intellectual disability and autism

Demonstrated commitment to the values of public education.

Knowledge of and commitment to the Department’s Aboriginal Education policies.
