HAMILTON FILIPINO COMMUNITY CENTER

TERMS OF REFERENCE

 We are a Board of Directors serving the Hamilton Filipino Community Centre which has an accumulated asset of almost $900,000.  Board Members’ mandate is to develop, review and revise policies necessary for the Operation of the Community Centre.  You will be selected from the community at large and will be elected among the Board members to be one of the Officers of HFCC.  Officers’ mandate is to implement and carry out policies established by the Board of Directors in a business manner.  We represent a broad spectrum of community leaders and advocates.  We share a long-term goal of a more inclusive community.  We are committed to using ‘Bayanihan’ perspective in all processes.

CRITERIA FOR BECOMING A BOARD MEMBER  We seek resident members reflective of the regional, religious and cultural diversity of our community.  Strong community service orientation & respected by the community.  Committed to equality and justice.  Innovative thinkers possessing initiative and strong leadership skills.  Able to honour time commitment for a term of 2 years.
