Features

 The MB 78EI is a 3 chamber, thermally broken, single or double door system  78 mm system front to back, double beaded  System classified according to BS EN 13501 -2+A1:2010 in class EI30, EI 60 and EI90  External or internal application  Curved sections available  Doors can be glazed into MB SR50EI fire rated curtain wall  Various of fire rated glazing available

Aluminium profiles

 Aluminium profiles (outer frames, sashes, door leaves, mullions, transoms, beads, etc) are extruded from aluminium alloy EN AW-6060 T66 according to BS EN 573-3 and BS EN 515;  Profiles complies with BS EN 755 -1;  Mechanical properties of profiles comply with BS EN 755-2;  Dimensional deviations as per BS EN 12020-2.

Thermal Break

Thermal breaks are based on polyamide omega shape strips reinforced with fiberglass PA 6,6 GF25. Sections rolled with this type of thermal break have very good strength, resistance to deformations and thermal expansion, very similar to aluminium. A polyamide thermally broken profile can be powder coated after rolling.

Gaskets

Glazing and rebate gaskets are made from synthetic rubber EPDM or thermoplastic rubber TR according to ISO 3302-1. Gaskets can be both miter and butt joined, as required, by gluing or bonding.

Fire insulation

Inserts are made of GFK preformed plasterboards or of cooling inserts CI and silicate-cement panels manufactured by Promatec-H. Intumescent fire resistance strips are cut off from sheets or supplied in rolls. All these elements are preformed in accordance with the applicable standards.

Frame Fixing Method

It is recommended to fix windows and doors with steel anchors or pins and bolts of stainless or galvanized steel and with supporting packers. The fixing must guarantee transfer of the external loads to the building structure while still maintaining full functionality of the window/door (smooth vent/door leaf movement during opening/closing). Minimum two fixing points have to be applied at each side of the frame. Fixing elements must be selected in accordance with system manual recommendations.
