Cultural Committee Meeting Tuesday, July 23, 2015 Red Bud City Hall Council Chambers (2nd floor)

Committee Members Present: Donald Thompson, Clem Esker, Glenn Linnertz

Committee Members Absent: Kyle Donjon, Mike Reed

Council Members Present: David Friess, Bill Hanebutt, Clarence Nail, Others Present: Mayor Tim Lowry; City Code Administrator, Jeff Mueller; Police Chief, John Brittingham; Administrative Assistant, Pam Poetker;

Others Absent: City Attorney, Paul Ray; City Superintendent, Josh Eckart; City Clerk, Joanne Cowell

Committee Chairman Thompson called the meeting to order at 7:20 p.m.

Old Business I. 150th Year Celebration in 2017 Update The committee has selected a logo for the 150th Year Celebration and it can be found on the website www.redbud150.com. They continue to meet every other week at 5:00 on Thursdays at the Red Bud Winery.

New Business I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Thompson, seconded by Committee Member Esker to approve the minutes from the June 23, 2015 meeting. Carried

II. Request from Human Service Center to Reserve Ratz Park Pavilion #1 for Special Olympics on August 14, 2015, Less Reservation Fee Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Thompson, seconded by Committee Member Linnertz to grant the request made by the Human Service Center to reserve Ratz Park #1, less reservation fee on August 14, 2015 for the Special Olympics. Carried

III. Request from SWIC to Add Rain Date of September 18, 2015, for Movie Night at Lincoln Park, Less Reservation Fee Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Thompson, seconded by Committee Member Linnertz to grant the request made by SWIC to reserve Lincoln Park on September 18, 2015, as a rain date for Movie Night, less reservation fee. Carried

IV. Request from Julie Hudson to close a portion of the 400 Block Washington St. on August 23, 2015, for Public Auction Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Thompson, seconded by Committee Member Linnertz to grant the request of Julie Hudson to close a portion of the 400 block of Washington St. for a public auction. Carried V. Public Comments/Anything for the Good of the City There will be a request from Randolph County Humane Society to collect on the square on August 7-8, 2015.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:28 p.m.
