Present: Kathy Evans, Allison German, Christy Huynh, Rick Kolenda, Michele May, Barbara St.Michel, Jerry Oberst, JJ O’Connell

2016-2017 Assessment Process  Reviewed and discussed new Part I form (attached)  Discussed Part II, which will consist of departmental three year assessment planning efforts  This group has come a very long way in just a few short years – congratulations!

Training & Development Subcommittee  Upcoming events: o April – workshop (date & topic TBA) o May – Campus Labs/Baseline webinars o June – Hold the date: Assessment Retreat Thurs., June 9th, 9:00am – noon Keynote speaker: Michael Christakis, Vice President for Student Affairs at the University at Albany o Summer – Focus group training with Kimberly Elsener from Hartwick College  Assessment Digest – Kathy has the book Student Affairs Assessment, recently recommended in the Digest. Let Kathy know if you would like to borrow her copy.

Marketing & Communication Subcommittee  SAEM Assessment webpage: o JJ & Rick are continuing their work on the assessment website o We Heard Your Voice PDF’s will be added to the website o Team & Subcommittee minutes have been added  “We Heard Your Voice” campaigns will be deployed through digital signage & flyers. A different department will be featured each month: Spring 2016: End of March: Residence Life End of April: Intramurals/Recreation

Fall 2016: September: Auxiliary Services October: Lifestyles Center November: Disability Support Services December: Counseling Services Center Progress Updates  Residence Life: “Well-being Scale” was administered to GST students in Johnson Hall. Data is currently being analyzed to determine what programs/activities/events will benefit students.  Campus Life: Conducting NASPA Student Involvement Benchmarking this semester – currently tweaking local questions, and survey will be deployed soon  Walker Health Center: Distributed brochures related to Health & Safety while on Spring Break. Following break, they will conduct a “Get Yourself Tested” campaign (after Break is when there is typically a rise in STD rates). Lifestyles conducted several Bystander Intervention sessions this semester, but saw a decrease in attendance compared to last semester. AOD coordinator has been surveying students regarding electronic cigarette attitudes and awareness of Smoking Policy on campus.  Career Services: Released 2014 “Beyond Oswego,” a publication that provides the latest information on where our students are within one year of graduation. The information is also on the Career Services homepage so that students, faculty, parents, etc. can view the info-graphic. In addition, the 2015 data has been analyzed and should be available for publication soon.  Athletics: Analyzing data from the Winter Athlete Satisfaction Survey.  Admissions: Focusing on increasing recruitment efforts in the Metro NY area. There are 5 separate bus trips bringing students and families from downstate to the campus for Open House events.
