Grace Prayer Watch

GRACE PRAYER WATCH Week Beginning – November 21, 2016

DAY 1: [THANKSGIVING] John 17:20-21 My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.

Always Give Thanks My prayer is for you to believe, that you will see God’s glory. That you through God’s glory will know Him and bring others to Him; That you can raise your eyes toward Heaven and thank God. Always give thanks for the little things as well as for the big things. Just as the sun rises in the morning – the moon always rises at night. We should raise our ‘Thanks’ every day to our Lord always. One day we will see God and His Glory, then we will surely give thanks – Always give thanks … Happy Thanksgiving!

DAY 2: [THANKSGIVING] Psalm 100 The Message On your feet now – applaud God! Bring a gift of laughter, Sing yourselves into His presence. Know this: GOD is God, and God, GOD. He made us; we didn’t make Him. We’re His people, His well-tended sheep. Enter with the password: “Thank You!” Make yourselves at home, talking praise. Thank Him. Worship Him. For GOD is sheer beauty, All-generous in love, Loyal always and ever.

Father, we come in this season of Thanksgiving to applaud Your Faithfulness to the people of Grace Christian Fellowship! Thank You for being a good GOD. Thank You for taking care of us with the provision of our shepherd, David and his family, to lead us. Thank You for a new facility for worship and launching point of ministry to our community. We have hundreds of points of thankfulness for big and little details worked out in the purchase of the new property this year, the sale of the old, and ministry highlights with the yard sale, the ice cream social, VBS, new SS classes, and OCC shoe boxes. Let us each repeat the password often: Thank You! May our grateful hearts be seen in our worship and our service. With Thanksgiving in the Name of Jesus, Amen.

DAY 3: [THANKSGIVING] Isaiah 12:2 Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, the LORD, is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation.

Heavenly Father, we give thanks that You provide salvation for us through the redemptive work completed by Christ Jesus on the cross. But we also give thanks because You are our Salvation. There is no other who loves us and cares about every detail of our lives and is at work in those details to help us live on the Solid Rock without fear. Thank You for paying our debt and giving us victory over sin and death in Jesus. We are grateful. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

DAY 5: [THANKSGIVING] Psalm 62:5-8 Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God; He is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to Him, for God is our refuge.

On this Thanksgiving Day, Father, we Thank You for salvation in Jesus Christ. Thank You that He is our Salvation. Thank You for being our strength and our song. Thank You that, in Christ Alone, our Hope is found. Help each one at Grace stand in Christ’s power till He returns or calls us home. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

In Christ Alone, written by Stuart Townend, Keith Getty; video by Travis Cottrell and includes “Solid Ground” www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4g3Wu375PE In Christ alone my hope is found, He is my light, my strength, my song; this Cornerstone, this solid Ground, firm through the fiercest drought and storm. What heights of love, what depths of peace, when fears are stilled, when strivings cease! My Comforter, my All in All, here in the love of Christ I stand.

In Christ alone! who took on flesh Fullness of God in helpless babe! This gift of love and righteousness Scorned by the ones he came to save: Till on that cross as Jesus died, The wrath of God was satisfied - For every sin on Him was laid; Here in the death of Christ I live.

There in the ground His body lay Light of the world by darkness slain: Then bursting forth in glorious Day Up from the grave he rose again! And as He stands in victory Sin's curse has lost its grip on me, For I am His and He is mine - Bought with the precious blood of Christ.

No guilt in life, no fear in death, This is the power of Christ in me; From life's first cry to final breath. Jesus commands my destiny. No power of hell, no scheme of man, Can ever pluck me from His hand; Till He returns or calls me home, Here in the power of Christ I'll stand.

WEEKEND PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING: Isaiah 9:6-7 For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over His kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.

Heavenly Father, all our blessings and gifts for which we give thanks are the result of Your Greatest Gift – Jesus. Thank You for Your Son, wrapped in flesh, and His life among us. Thank You for the sinless Son of God sacrificed on the cross to pay the once and for all price for our sin in order to bring us to relationship with You. Thank You for Jesus inside us to guide and direct and encourage and enable. Thank You for the promise of future justice and righteousness. Thank You for Jesus! In His Holy Name we pray, Amen.
