Second Helpings Consignment Sale Hope United Methodist Church Fall 2011

Sale Dates: Friday, September 9th , 8:30a.m. - 6:30p.m. Saturday, September 10th, 9:00a.m. – 12:00p.m.

Preview Shopping: Thursday, September 9th Volunteers shop at 5:30p.m. Sellers shop at 6:00p.m. Preview shopping ends at 8:00p.m.

Seller Fees: There is a seller fee of $5.50 per seller that will be deducted from your final check before it is mailed to you. * Sellers receive 70% of their sales.

Drop-off: Thursday, September 8th 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You must schedule a drop off appointment *We will be inspecting everything at drop-off, so please have your clothes sorted by gender and size and allow for time while items are being checked.

Pick-up: Saturday, September 10th, 2:00 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.

Items accepted include: Clothing, toys, books, puzzles, games, movies, computer and video games, accessories, shoes, bedding, receiving blankets, furniture, car seats (must have an imprinted “do not use after” date on the seat), high chairs, pack-n-plays, baby entertainment items such as exercisers, swings and bouncy seats, bath tubs, maternity clothes, nursing and feeding supplies, strollers, and other items are welcome. All items should be in good condition without obvious excessive wear.

Clothing * School, Spring & Summer Clothes * NO stains or tears * Freshly laundered, ironed if needed and on hangers (layette items are allowed in Ziploc bags. * All buttons attached * Zippers in working condition * Accessories may be put in a zip top bag and attached to the hanger

Sizes * Boys - newborn to size 20 * Girls - newborn to size 16 and junior sizes (odd numbers – 0,1,3,5) * No women’s or misses sizes except maternity

Toys *Toys and large items have always been a huge success at our sale! * Working batteries must be included * Toys that do not work will not be offered for sale * Please put loose pieces in zip-top bags and tape securely to toy * All pieces must be included or noted in detail on tag * Toys including lots of pieces (train sets, building sets, etc.), if not in original packaging, should be in see through containers or have a picture of item attached * All packaging should be securely sealed * Please leave one side of the tag untapped to allow for removal.

Limits * Only 25 Books per seller * Only 25 infant clothing items (on hangers) 0-12months per gender * Unlimited Toy, Movies and etc.

Tags * Must use Second Helpings Tags, you will need to use the excel program or make copies of the original on white paper (no cardstock) * Second Helpings Tags filled out by hand are acceptable * Items not tagged properly may be refused * Please pin tag according to diagram with safety pins only

Pricing * The guideline is ¼ of the original price if the item has average wear. * Items that are in great condition or new may be priced at approximately 1/3 the original price. * Ask yourself if you would pay that price for the item if you were buying at a consignment sale. * Prices must be in increments of $.50 with a minimum price of $.50.

Half Price * All items will be sold at the full price marked on Friday. * Items marked for discount will be sold at ½ the marked price on Saturday. * Items not marked for discount will remain at the full marked price.

Payment * Checks will be mailed within 1 weeks of the sale.

Any seller, who registers and does not keep their drop off appointment resulting in them not selling in the sale, will not be allowed to sell for the next 2 sales. The only exception is an emergency approved before the sale.
