ABOUT ME

I have been working as a translator for 5 years now, 3 years as an in-house translator and 2 years as a full-time outsourcer. Skills development and international quality expectations correspondence were the main motivating force both in BGP-Geophysical and especially in EnglishIntoRussian.com. Now, when I accumulated great and very useful experience and knowledgebase, I feel the need to pass my attainments to others and bring up another generation of first-rate professionals in my own English-Russian translation business with in-house translators. So far I am working alone to build up some start-up capital, looking for potential translators and dedicated editors, developing particularized auxiliary software and working procedures. My goal is to create a dynamically developing crew of professionals who work with pleasure and deliver the best result possible. Besides translation I enjoy electronic music, especially drum’n’bass. As an active member and press representative of Saratov Drum’n’Bass Community (akvadrum.com) I take part in arranging and promoting dnb events in Saratov and Volga Region, which includes collaboration with local radio and TV shows, press and Internet and social networks projects. My interpreting skills come in handy during parties with foreign DJs such as Aphrodite (UK), Counterstrike (SA), Teebee (NO), Cooh (BG), Kano (UK). During 2007-2008 I took part in tournament series of Sports Poker Saratov Region Federation, once winning the Last Woman Standing title. I also took a post of croupier on a voluntary basis since October 2008 till July 2009.
