Camp Wanocksett camp-out New Years day, January 1, 2005.

At the January 1st, 2005 camporee located at the camp Wanocksett in Jaffrey, New Hampshire all the scouts had a lot of fun.

About one half of the kids stayed inside of the cabin and the other half went on a hiking trip up Mt. Monadnock.

In the cabin, some of the scouts played card games and talked. Outside some of the scouts tended to the fire and they also talked around the campfire ring.

The ice on the lake was not safe to go on because of the warm weather that we had recently, so that kind of ruined it for ice skating and hockey. It was very muddy outside and very cold. The scouts that went on the hike had a lot of fun. The Troops mascot for this weekend went on the hike with the scouts. His name is Bruno he is Mrs. Lantry’s dog. Bruno feels right at home because he spends his entire summer up at the scout camp every year.

At the end of the trip everyone was very happy and had a good time at our January Cabin Adventure up at Camp Wanocksett.
