It was agreed that a tutor training event would be promoted with funding through the cashback initiative. The target date would be 25 May subject to the availability of trainers. (Action: Alex/Emma)

2.3 Creative Identities Project

Ashley was involved with the group and unable to be present. There was some discussion around the difficulty of meeting the targets which had been set out in the note of the meeting. In reality, the challenge of engaging with those in off- site provision has confirmed the need for significant investment of time in building relationships and trust before effective dance work could be undertaken. Dawn indicated that Ashley was bringing a report and it was

Smallpetitklein would continue to support the website and deal with uploads during 2012. Amanda asked that a reminder be sent round partnership members the week before the deadline for uploads to ensure that all members were prompted to reply. (Action: Emma)

It was agreed that the final payment for the project covering the last instalment due to Smallpetitklein would be processed. (Action: Stewart)

2.5 Olympic Torch - 12 June

Alex confirmed that torch events would commence in the City Square around 4.30 pm with the main event taking place in Baxter Park around 6.30 pm.

Alex and her group would be committed to events at Baxter Park.

Other partners were invited to contribute to the dance event in the City Square. There would be a stage outside Boots and expressions of interest in performing on the stage were requested.

More importantly there will be a flash mob event which will be co-ordinated by Dawn and led by Joan from Scottish Dance Theatre.

The moves for this event will be circulated online to all partners. (Action: Dawn)

Partners committed themselves to bringing groups who would effectively be 'plants' but who will be lead by a dance tutor in some form of identifiable t-shirt!

The following numbers were estimated:

The online moves would also be linked through the Dundee Dance Partnership website. (Action: Emma)

3. Strategic Review

Stewart introduced this item by suggesting that given the organic growth of the Partnership over the last few years there was now a need to produce a forward strategy which set out the vision for the Partnership and highlighted its strategic priorities.

The strategy could also clarify what each member was contributing to the development of dance in the City and identify gaps/areas for development.

To move this forward the following outline structure was agreed:

 Section 1 - Background i.e. the development of dance in Dundee over the last 15 years from a one weekend festival to a 52 week programme and recognition as one of Scotland's dance hubs. (Stewart/Amanda)

 Section 2 - Strategic Priorities o 2.1 - Leadership Development (the pathway/UK Dance Leaders Award/Partnership's Objectives) o 2.2 - Pathways and Participation o 2.3 - Support and Infrastructure (venues/the website/CPD/etc)

 Section 3 - Partners' Plans o Description of organisation o The outline programme for 2012/2013 o Priorities for development o Numbers of people involved in provision (participants/tutors)

Stewart offered to draft a template for each agency to complete in response to section three and circulate this for comment. (Action: Stewart)

 Section 4 - Partnership Action Plan 2012/2018 o To be discussed at next meeting.
