Adair County 4-H Alumni Speak Out

Pam Jensen

Education: I graduated from Greenfield High School in 1981 and attended Southwestern Community College for the 11 month Secretarial Course.

Career: I have been employed by Adair County since June, 1993. Deputy Auditor for 6 years and currently Chief Deputy Assessor.

Family: I have been married to Kenny for 28 years. I have two children - Hannah who has recently graduated from Central College and is engaged to be married on July 16, 2011. Zach is serving in the United States Air Force and stationed at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico.

4-H Involvement: I was a member of the Summerset Citizens 4-H Club, leader of the Lee Blue Ribbons and Adair County Wing Walkers, served on the Adair County Youth Action Committee, and currently 4-H Building Superintendent.

Favorite Part of 4-H: I always enjoyed participating in the communication events - share the fun and working exhibits at the county fair and state fair.

Life skills gained: I gained confidence and the ability to talk in front of people. I also learned how to set goals and follow through.

Advice: Have fun and make the best of every situation.

Why volunteer: I volunteer for the 4-H program because it is a wonderful program for youth. I enjoy seeing the 4-H members grow and learn throughout their career. I was thankful for the people who volunteered while I was in 4-H and while my children were in 4-H. It is my turn to give back to my community.
