Applications for equipment funding have been allocated into the following categories . Small item < $30,000 . Large item $30,000 - $100,000 . Large item > $100,000
Please note the following guidelines when applying for equipment item funding: . The lead PI on the application must be a SAHMRI Faculty member; . There is a rolling call for applications. Applications should be submitted two weeks before the Biosciences Pillar Committee meeting at which you want the application considered, please contact Leanne Sutherland ([email protected]) for meeting dates; . Applications are not to exceed the allocated length (1 page) for the description of the equipment item; . Applications for the replacement of an existing equipment item must include justification for not repairing the equipment and the continued need for the equipment; . All applications must be accompanied by a current quotation for the requested equipment item; . Items of equipment that will be used by multiple research Themes/Groups within SAHMRI will be considered favourably; . Equipment items must be located within SAHMRI sites; . Applications for equipment items that have co-funding will be considered favourably; . Applications will be reviewed and ranked by the Biosciences Pillar Committee; . Requests for consumables/salary support will not be considered.
Applications must be in minimum 11 font and must be submitted as a single PDF (including current quotation) via email to the Research Office ([email protected]).
