Job title Operations Manager

Reports to Chief Executive Officer

Responsible for Responsibility for operational management at Relate Greater Manchester South (GMS), including some direct line management responsibilities.

Part of the Senior Management Team of the organisation

Salary £34,000 per annum

Contract Initial fixed term 12 month contract but possibility of extension to a permanent position.

Hours 37 hours per week to be worked flexibly to meet the requirements of the service

Workbase Manchester, with travel across the Greater Manchester area

Checks DBS Check required and professional references covering at least the last two years

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POST The Operations Manager is responsible for the operational management of all Relate GMS activities. This includes being part of the senior management team that will be responsible for growth, service delivery, innovation, sustainability, contractual compliance, quality and user involvement. The role will be the key point of contact and support for staff, partners and other agencies for operational delivery across the organisation.

The post holder will be expected to adopt a flexible approach to the duties which may have to be varied, after discussion with the post holder, subject to the needs of Relate GMS and in keeping with the general profile of the post. Relate GMS Operations Manager V31Mar2016 The Operations Manager will:  Be responsible for all aspects of operational management (including human resource and premises) to ensure effective and efficient delivery of services  Work collaboratively with all partner agencies to ensure effective referral pathways and related procedures to best enable service delivery  Review and update all organisational policies; ensuring policies are fit for purpose, regularly reviewed and fit the culture of a high performing, modern, fast paced organization. Liaise with internal colleagues for specialist knowledge as needed  Process-map and systemise all organisational processes, creating increased efficiencies where possible  Develop existing performance management frameworks, to ensure that outcomes are evidenced for all our service delivery and client feedback is regularly sought.  Work to identified quality standards and ensure they are implemented and maintained throughout the organisation  Lead the development of digital solutions for the organisation, such as the introduction of an intranet.  Provide leadership, management and support to staff on operational matters across the organisation, sometimes through direct line management responsibilities and sometimes through a coaching relationship.  Lead the mobilization of new contracts when new services are successfully tendered for.  Work as a positive member of the Senior Management Team, driving continuous improvement through flexible and creative responses and supporting the growth/evolution and development of the organsiation to meet the developing vision  Together with other Senior Management colleagues, act as a champion for the organisation; representing and positively promoting the organisation at all times  Work inclusively and undertake all work in accordance with Relate GMS’s values, policies, principles and procedures  Carry out such other duties as deemed appropriate and may be reasonably required by the Chief Executive
