NEWS RELEASE May 28, 2008

Drill Program Planned for Kirkland Creek Gold Property Sunrise Gas Well Update

New Shoshoni Ventures Ltd. (the “Company”) is planning an initial exploration drill program for the Company’s 100% owned Kirkland Creek gold project located 120 (km) North West of Whitehorse in Canada’s Yukon Territory.

The planned work program is fully permitted and a drill has been secured for the month of July to undertake an initial drill program of approximately 2000 meters of NQ sized core.

During 2007, the Company completed an exploration program of geological mapping, soil geochemical sampling and IP (“Induced Polarization”) geophysical surveying to confirm and better define anomalies resulting from exploration surveys performed by previous operators during 1989/90. The earlier exploration included airborne EM-Mag and grid controlled ground EM and magnetic geophysical surveys, geological mapping and soil geochemical surveys.

The Company’s 2007 exploration program consisted of establishing 87 kilometers of detailed survey grid, collection of 450 soil samples and mapping 9 line kilometers with Induced Polarization (“IP”) survey methods. Rock samples were collected for geological review. Interpretation of the combined survey results (1989/90 and 2007) allows the Company to prioritize drill targets for the planned 2008 drill program.

The targets selected to be tested are EM/Magnetic/IP geophysical anomalies with associated gold-in-soil geochemical anomalies contained within a highly altered volcanic rock sequence. The geological environment is typical of epithermal systems associated with collapsed and resurgent volcanic calderas along major regional fracture zones. Typically, this style of alteration occurs at a high level in an epithermal mineralizing system, and lies above any potential economic mineral depositional horizons. Sunrise Gas Well Update

The Company is awaiting the lifting of the seasonal road ban in the Sunrise region of Northern British Columbia, in order to move equipment onto the well site to allow the 16-25-79-17 W6M gas well, drilled by the Company in March 2008, to be fraced and flow tested. Typically, road bans in the region are lifted in early June. The Company anticipates a fracing rig to be available forthwith, once the road ban is lifted.

Drilling of additional exploration wells in the Sunrise region is also anticipated to take place during the summer, in order for the Company to earn its interest in an additional 3 sections.

The Company continues to evaluate other potential opportunities in the oil and gas sector.
