Bucket List

This week in class we will be working with your personal buck list. If you are unfamiliar with the term bucket list, refer to the video segment from class (linked Below), where the main characters of the movie, The Bucket List, discuss their options after learning about their short time left to live. http://warmupsfollowups.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-bucket-list-bucket-list.html

To earn your full points, the following items must be completed by Friday, September 29.

1. The prewriting sheet filled out (on the back) and a picture of it uploaded into your google folder.

2. A rough draft of an essay discussing your opinion of a bucket list. (see organization below)

3. A final draft of your bucket list essay, with proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, and content.

4. A final bucket list of items you want to have achieved before death (using the template I created, located on my web page) inserted into your essay as appendix A (See MLA rules if you are unsure how to include an appendix into your essay.

The essay should include the following format.

A. An introduction defining a bucket list, with your opinion of the list as your thesis statement.

B. Several body paragraphs explaining some of your highlighted items, broken down by category (before high school ends, in college, once retired, if money where no object, and/or intrinsic/extrinsic). You will need to also include a good explanation of why you chose these items and what challenges you will face completing these items.

C. An explanation of what has changed on your list from your prewriting to your final list and why you suppose, upon further thought, that your list changed. If it did not change, how or why were you so sure of your list, so quickly.

D. A conclusion wrapping up your thoughts about the inclusion of a bucket list in your life. Bucket List Prewriting Survey:
