The majority of our curricular offerings follow a conventional 9 period per day format for which 1 credit is awarded for 5 weekly 40 min class sessions; two 18 week semesters in length.

Class ranking is based on all students and Grade Point Average is computed on all subjects, grades 9-12, on a 4.00 scale (A=4.00, A-=3.66) with the same calibration for grades B, C, and D. A 4.33 scale was used until the 2013-2014 school year.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:

23 total credits are required for graduation.

Credits may be granted to a student below grade 9 for taking a high school level course. Students attending Mid-East Career and Technology Centers need a minimum of 22 credits total and only 3 social studies credits for graduation.

MAYSVILLE EARLY COLLEGE HIGH SCHOOL:

Maysville Local School District has partnered with Zane State College and Muskingum University to create a rigorous post-secondary dual enrollment program. Courses listed under “Dual Enrollment” carry college credit as well as high school credit. DUAL ENROLLMENT COURSES: (All courses for college credit are indicated on the transcript with the word “college” in front of the course name)
