BUMissions: Mission Trip Risk Assessment In Order to complete this document, you will need to complete tasks A, B, & C. NOTE: you will ALSO upload the PDFs of A, B, & C as individual PDFs directly to your BearQuest proposal as supplemental research. You do not add them to this document, just upload to Bearquest.

A. iJet/World Cue (corresponds with BearQuest upload Risk #5)

a. Go to https://planner.worldcue.com/portal/auth/portal/planner?username=baylorplnr

b. Once Logged in, in the Left column, under “Location Selection” type the name of the country you want to research

c. Once selected, in the Right column under “Location Reports” select the PDF for “Trip Brief”.

d. Save PDF document (you’ll attach it to the online proposal) and use it as a resource to fill out the document below.

B. Centers for Disease Control (“For Travelers” Section) (BQ Risk#6)

a. Center for Disease Control: https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/destinations/list/

b. Under “For Travelers”, Type in Country and select “go” to see report

c. File>Print>Save as PDF (you’ll attach it to the online proposal) and use it as a resource to fill out the document below.

C. United States Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs (#7)

a. https://travel.state.gov/ (“Learn about your Destination”)

b. Once you have your country page, make sure to click on “Expand All” to see all the sections

c. File>Print>Save as PDF (you’ll attach it to the online proposal) and use it as a resource to fill out the document below.

D. Complete the “Risk Assessment” form (below) based on conclusions drawn from your review of the 3 sites above and your own understanding of risk prevention abroad.

Risk Ratings options are as follows: 1-Minimal, 2-Low, 3-Moderate, 4-High, 5-Very High) Risk Prevention/Strategy is a detailed description of how iJet/Worldcue/CDC/StateDept. recommend to address each possible risk (ie. food/water/beverage: risk HIGH: students will only drink bottled water and all meals will be prepared by vendors recommended by global partners)

All categories with ratings over a 2 must have some thoughtful risk prevention strategy listed or will be returned to leader for further details in order to move forward with proposal.
