Fashion Marketing

Course Description: This course is designed for students interested in the fashion industry and the merchandising of fashion. Topics include an overview of the fashion industry; evolution and movement of fashion, career development, merchandising, risk management, promotion, and fashion show production. Students will explore areas such as fashion history, fashion marketing basics, design and buying centers, types of fashion, and fashion designers.

Objective: Students will focus on four major areas of fashion:  The world of fashion  Producing fashion  Fashion marketing  Fashion Merchandising

Supplies: -Three ring binder -Dividers -Notebook paper -Pen or pencils

The student grade for each six weeks will be computed from the following percentages.  Major Grades 60%  Minor Grades 40%

If a student is absent from school, it is his/her responsibility to get all assignments and testing information from the teacher or another student the day you return to school.

Major Grade: A student will be assigned three – four major grades each six weeks. Major assignments include projects and presentation. Student will receive notification several days prior to the administration of tests.

Minor Grades: Minor grades will be figured from chapter assignments, worksheets, quizzes, project planning, reports, vocabulary test, and daily assignments. All work should be turned in on time or points will be deducted. (10 points per day) Syllabus- Fashion Marketing
