Calling All ROP Students!

You are invited to participate in the ROP Mission and ESLR poster contest. Help ROP create a new identity that creatively displays the ROP mission and ESLR’s (Expected Student Learning Results)

Mission: “ROP provides students with opportunities to acquire academic, career, and technical skills and to prepare for life-long learning and success in the changing workplace.”

ESLR 1: Explore, assess, and prepare for careers and educational opportunities ESLR 2: Develop strong work ethics, teamwork and leadership skills necessary to become a productive member of the community ESLR 3: Reinforce academic skills through applied learning experiences ESLR 4: Demonstrate problem solving, critical thinking, decision making and communication skills for workplace success ESLR 5: Develop career and technical skills for success in the workplace Poster Guidelines:

If you are interested, follow these guidelines and create a poster that emphasizes ROP’s mission and ESLR’s. 1. Poster must be displayed on an 8 1/2” by 11” sheet of paper but able to be blown up into a larger poster. 2. Both Mission statement and ESLR’s must be displayed. 3. ROP and COE logo must be included. (See ROP website for logo images) 4. Colors that are used need to be able to be easily duplicated. 5. Deadline for submission to your ROP instructor by May 18, 2012. All posters must be into the ROP office by May 22, 2012. 6. ROP administration and staff will judge all posters. 7. Winner will receive a $100 prize (purchase) plus the honor of having their poster displayed throughout the county in all ROP classes. ROP will contract with you to own the poster upon winning. 8. Poster winner will be announced by June 1, 2012.
