Registration Deadline: Form and money must be turned in to the appropriate office by noon Thursday, at the home campus.
Fee: $4.00
Required Materials: School work for 2 hours - Course or class materials Pens, paper, and materials NEISD library books and /or public library books Reference materials, etc. related to school work and/or assignments
IMPORTANT NOTE: Parents/Guardians who bring their child without the appropriate school related work or an adequate amount of material will not be admitted and/or will be asked to leave during the program due to an insufficient amount of work. If a student is dismissed for these reasons, attendance credit will be denied and the fee will not be refunded.
Location: Madison High School Cafeteria, 5005 Stahl Road.
Time: 8 AM to 10 AM – NO STUDENT AND PARENT/GUARDIAN WILL BE ADMITTED AFTER 8:00 AM.
Transportation: Transportation is the responsibility of the parent/guardian. Parents/Guardians are responsible for attending the program with their child.
SATURDAY SCHOOL RULES/PROCEDURES: 1. A parent/guardian is required to accompany and attend Saturday School with their child. 2. Students must read and/or work on their school assignments (stay on task) throughout the program. Parents/Guardians shall be responsible for keeping their child on task. 3. NEISD dress code will be enforced (see NEISD Student/Parent Handbook). Uniforms are not required to be worn. 4. All students and parents/guardians will be in attendance from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM. An early departure will result in a loss of attendance credit. 5. No food or drinks are allowed in the building. A break is scheduled by the Saturday School teacher(s) for water and restroom opportunities. Students and parents/guardians who do not return from the scheduled break on time will not be admitted and will lose credit for the day. 6. No sleeping or talking. 7. Ipods, radios, or other types of personal electronic devices are not allowed. 8. Cell phones must be put away and turned off during study time (8 AM to 10 AM). 9. Students will be given assigned seating and are responsible for remaining in their assigned seat until dismissed. 10. Disruptive, disrespectful behavior and/or cursing will not be tolerated and the student/parent will be dismissed from the program and may lose their right to attend future District Saturday Schools. 11. Tobacco products are strictly prohibited.
