Cap, Gown and Graduation Announcements--It’s Almost Order Time! Herff Jones will be distributing order packets to all seniors later this month. These packets will contain pricing information for caps, gowns, tassels, announcements and many other graduation-related items and souvenirs. A Herff Jones representative will be at CHS on Wednesday, December 7 from 10:00 – 1:00 in the cafeteria (Dec. 8 at Maplewood around 8:00 a.m.), to take cap and gown and announcement orders. A sales rep. will return on Wed, Dec. 14 to take orders from anyone who was absent on the original order date. You may also place your orders by visiting the Herff-Jones website at www.hjconnection.com/rickcall. If you have questions, contact our sales representative, Rick Call, 4468 Berry Hill, Stow, OH 44224, 330-678-8138 or fax 300-678-8163, [email protected]. If you intend to participate in the graduation ceremony, you MUST have a cap, gown and tassel which can be purchased for $28.00 (this includes tax & handling). If purchasing additional items such as announcements, a $60.00 deposit is due at time of order placement. (This deposit will cover the cost of the cap, gown & tassel too. Checks made payable to Herff Jones.)

Senior Spirit Wear Orders Order forms will be distributed to seniors this week and can be downloaded from the Crestwood High School web page (www.crestwood.sparcc.org click on “Class of 2011” information). Payment and completed order form due by Dec. 7.

Photos Wanted for the Graduation Slide Show To make our graduation special, we would like to produce a slide show featuring all seniors. By February 28, please submit two photos of yourself with a fellow classmate or a small group of classmates. You may send them electronically to [email protected] (or save them to a cd). Please type your name in the “subject” box. Or, if submitting traditional photos, write your name on the back (photos will be returned unharmed.) (Photos may range from high school years, to middle or even elementary—we hope to include many different school and childhood memories). Note: if you have a favorite photo that you would like to be included in the slide show, indicate this in the email to which you have attached the photo or attach a note to the back of the photo asking us to “please use this photo.” Copies of the entire graduation ceremony will be available for purchase in May from Mr. Marfy for $20. Also, upcoming newsletters will have more information about purchasing “CHS 11 Graduate” yard signs from Mr. Marfy.

Senior Class Fun Day: Picnic & Trip This year’s senior class picnic and trip will be Thursday, June 2. The picnic will be held at Jack Lambert Stadium beginning at 10:00 a.m. and concluding around 2:30 p.m. Then, participating seniors need to return by 4:45 to check in for the trip. Busses will depart from the front of the high school at 5:00 p.m. and arrive at the Nautica Queen by 6:00 p.m. for a cruise featuring dinner and dancing. Busses will return at approximately 11:00 p.m. The cost for BOTH the trip and picnic will be approximately $45 per person. This price includes transportation to Cleveland and a dinner cruise, as well as a continental breakfast on the morning of the picnic, a catered lunch, unlimited use of the inflatables and other carnival-like entertainments at the picnic and door prizes (most years, around-$1,000 worth of merchandise and gift cards). You must be present to win!  A $25 deposit will be due by January 27 to reserve your spot for the trip. (Checks payable to Crestwood High School)  The balance of approximately $20 will be due by April 7. (Final cost is contingent upon total number of participants. This is why we must collect a deposit on Jan. 29 to see the level of interest and determine a final cost.) *Parent volunteers to chaperone the picnic are greatly appreciated. Contact Mrs. Cutlip, senior class advisor, at (330) 274-2214, voice mailbox 417 or via email at [email protected].
