TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT

EXPERIENCE

2000 to Present: Legacy Engineering, LLC, Irvine, CA  04/2007 to 06/2009: Consultant - Sr. Software Engineer. DRS Targeting & Sensors, Cypress, CA. For a national defense research and development project. Responsible for: designing the embedded software to meet the project’s requirements; software/system requirements definitions; mentoring and technically overseeing software engineers on the project; development of test software written in ‘C’ for lab and field integration; and key interface for customer and other departments technical questions regarding the project.  07/2006 to 04/2007: Consultant - Sr. Software Engineer. Capstone Turbine Corporation, Chatsworth, CA. Achieved UL 1998 certification for their Microturbine Systems. Managed, communicated, documented, and understanding the entire system and guiding the company for the audit. Responsibilities included converting a power module from Assembly Code to ‘C’ Language on the TI’s C28x DSP. Modified and created ‘C’ code to function on a fuel module and generator module.  04/2006 to 07/2006: Consultant - Sr. Software Engineer. DRS Targeting & Sensors, Cypress, CA. National defense project. Responsible for resolving any software issues on CSCIs on the project, worked closely with system’s engineers to drive the requirements, created system block diagrams describing our vision, resolved co-workers software concerns and questions, communicated with staff and senior staff to ensure for a successful execution of the project.  2005 to 2006: Consultant - Sr. Software Engineer/IPT Operations Development. Mission Systems Division, Redondo Beach, CA. Ground Operations Development team member for national defense project. Responsible for producing the Operations Orbital documentation for the Spacecraft Bus and Payload Mission Operations. Investigated, researched, and gathered technical data regarding the satellite’s payload and bus. Worked closely with several other groups to revolve any technical issues that were revealed. Served as the OOH Deputy, provided leadership when IPPPT Operations Development Lead was unavailable. Provided input to the IMS scheduling.  2003 to 2006: Consultant. - Lead Sr. Software Engineer. DRS Targeting & Sensors, Torrance, CA. For national defense project. Responsible for resolving any software issues on all CSCIs on the project, resolving customer and co-workers software concerns and questions, communicated with staff and senior staff to ensure the successful execution of the project, creating slides and presentations for PDR, CDR, TIMs, reporting status, earned value reporting, estimate time to complete reporting, and scheduling. At the beginning, this mission was SEIS Level 1. Part of the team’s task was to bring the company and this project to SEI Level 3 Certification. Selected to participate in the interview process of SEI Level 3 Certification.  Consultant - Sr. Mission Software Engineer. Responsible for designing, coding, and testing of critical a focal control software on Texas Instruments C28xDSP for a FLIR mission project. Created SEI Level II and III SDPP, software commitment, SRS, IRS, SDD, ICD for this project.  Consultant - Sr. Mission Software Engineer. Team member assisting in software testing and integration activities for a C24x DSP mission project. Reverse engineering of the legacy code. Created SRS and ICD for this project.

2010 to 2011: Consultant.  Project Manager. Responsible for overseeing all aspects of SOW, CDRLs, reviews, design, parts procurement, embedded software and hardware documentation, integration, test and delivery of propulsion subsystem test unit. We were given a partially designed unit and given a few months to design and deliver the unit.

2002 to 2003: Northrop Grumman Space Systems Division, Azusa, CA  Consultant - Sr. Software Engineer. Team member performing CPA development, developed algorithms for implementation into payload operational procedures, analyzed satellite engineering documentations and requirements. Presented the design’s technical overview and details to the customer. Liaison between TASC and the customer and provided development team representation on customer site. Participated in planning and organization of payload test plan for early orbit testing. Created “Storyboard” activities for payload testing of EOT.

2001 to 2002: L3 Communications Power Paragon, Anaheim, CA  Consultant - Sr. Software Engineer. Performed reverse software engineering on mission critical code for embedded systems, including flow diagrams. Revised Software Requirements Specification (“SRS”) and Software Design Documents (“SDD”), accordingly. Analyzed code and performed code review of new and modified code for SEI purposes. Team member analyzing and resolving software issues as they arise.

2000 to 2001: TASC (subsidiary of Northrop Grumman), El Segundo, CA  Sr. Member Technical Staff. Performed ROP development, developed algorithms for implementation into payload operational procedures, analyzed satellite engineering documentation and requirements. Presented the design’s technical overview and details to the customer. Liaison between TASC and the customer and provided development team representation on customer site.

1997 to 2000: L3 Communications Storm Control Systems, El Segundo, CA  1997 to 1999. Software Engineering Support Coordinator/Software Support Engineer. Coordinated SW engineering support for an integrated real-time spacecraft command and control system used for all phases of satellite operations. Responsible for coordinating support; provided on-site support by analyzing, installing and supporting software for satellite ground control systems on a UNIX DEC platform. Provided mission support, installation and troubleshooting for satellite test, launch, and on-orbit control. Installed and configured the Sybase relational database and replication server. Analyzed code written in C and C++ as a troubleshooting mechanism.  1999 to 2000. Software Engineer. Development team member for an integrated real-time spacecraft command and control system used for all phases of satellite operations including satellite test, launch and on-orbit control. Responsible for the control portion, full system life cycle including system design, software development and integration/test. Added functionality to database translation code using C++ and SQL; maintained map tables and the gateway and flexible data buffer code; created scripts for system cleanup; analyzed and modified existing code for efficiency.  1998 to 2000. Senior Software Engineer, Configuration Management. Recommended reviewed, approved new functionality implemented by software developers for configuration management problems. TERESA ZELEZNICK
