This product will allow the user to view a hotel reservation (GNR) as it appears in the Hotel Associate’s own system. This will reduce phone calls to the hotel chain to confirm reservations made through the system and will provide the user with greater confidence in automated bookings.

3. General

The hotel chain must be an AccessPlus participant in order to participate in the Reservation Display functionality. Hotel Source participation is not a pre-requisite.

Subscribers will only be permitted to retrieve a reservation display on hotel bookings made through the WORLDSPAN system.

3. Specifications

3. Entries

A subscriber may only request a Reservation display by segment number from an AccessPlus booked segment or from a Type B segment provided the segment contains a confirmation number and is not a memo (MK) segment. WORLDSPAN personnel will be permitted to request a Reservation display by confirmation number without the existence of a PNR or hotel segment.

By PNR segment number: @@Hcc*Snn By confirmation number (WORLDSPAN use only): @@Hcc*xxxxxxx

In the preceding entries, cc equals the hotel chain code, nn equals the PNR segment number, and the x’s equal the 1- to 25-character confirmation number.

Notes:

a. All fields must be shipped in the order in which they appear and may only be sent once unless specified otherwise.

b. Indicated required fields are for "good" responses (/RSPRESVER). Error responses (/RSPRESERR) require only /ERN and/or /ERT following the response type.

c. /RES and /ERT fields will require a carriage return at least every 64 characters. The vendor will be responsible for sending the carriage return as needed.

d. All the information before the response type needs to be echoed back to WORLDSPAN from the Reservation Display request

e. The following special characters will be accepted in freeform text fields by WORLDSPAN: asterisk (*), dollar sign ($), dash (-), period (.) and a space.

Example:

If the data returned from the vendor does not match the data sent in the same fields in the request message -or- a response is not received (timeout), an error will be returned to the subscriber.

4. Display

The text returned in the /RES field of the reservation display response will not be reformatted by WORLDSPAN. It will be shown exactly as it is returned from the vendor, therefore may vary by chain.

Explanation:

– The CONF field reflects the confirmation number in the /CNF field of the reservation display request.

– The WSPN PID field reflects the WORLDSPAN property ID from the booked segment. This field will be blank when a request is made by confirmation number instead of by segment number.

– The STATUS field reflects the status indicated in the /STA field in the response message. This field should show CONFIRMED or CANCELLED depending on the status of the reservation in the hotel associate’s system.

– The remainder of the display is the freeform text returned in the /RES field of the response message and will be displayed in the format in which it was returned by the vendor.

C. AccessPlus Sessions

For reservation display entries, the AccessPlus session will be released once a response is successfully delivered to the screen -or- is logged as an unrecognizable, time-out, etc. That session will then be returned to the pool for re-use.

CONFIDENTIAL May 22, 1996 Page 5 ACCESSPLUS RESERVATION DISPLAY Response 'time-out' guidelines currently used for Sell processing will also apply to reservation display requests. This timer is now set at 5 'tics' (25 seconds).
