Train The Trainer Workshop – Pre Course ______TRAIN THE TRAINER WORKSHOP 11-12th June 2002 Pre Course Work

1. On day 1, you will be asked to deliver a 10 minute (MAX.) presentation. There will be a choice of general topics on the day, with time allocated for preparation. However, if there is a business topic you would like to deliver on, then please bring along any materials, such as handouts, reports etc. on the day.

2. On day 2, there will be an exercise in which you will train a course delegate, on a one-to-one basis, to perform a particular skill. The complete training should take up to 10 minutes duration. You will need to bring all material necessary with you.

Think again if you have designs on how to change the wheel of a J.C.B. digger, or constructing a life sized replica of the Millennium Wheel using Meccano!

This activity can be drawn from everyday life, including hobbies/interests. Prize awarded for the most original activity!

Activities that have worked well in the past have included:  Wiring a 3 pin plug  Flower arranging  Knot tying  Paper folding  Making a cigarette  Wrapping a present  Administering emergency first aid  Making a gift bow  Performing a magic trick

Try not to tell your fellow delegates what you will be doing – it adds more intrigue to the session! PLEASE NOTE: During the exercise, you may need to perform the skill several times so bring plenty of materials with you!
