Three month planning - interviews, convenings: A joint team from the foundation and our community based partner will conduct key informant interviews with community members and policy leaders. We also will host two community gatherings to solicit information from residents of two low-income communities about the needs in their neighborhoods.

Grants to community organizations We expect to make between four and eight grants over the three-year period through an open RFP process. The size of each grant will be determined based on the need and each policy/environmental change effort.

Technical assistance: Each grantee will participate in a learning collaborative and will receive individualized technical assistance from policy experts.

Evaluation: We plan to hire a consultant to conduct interviews and follow progress within the foundation as well as among grantees.
