SHORT DESCRIPTION OF The UPCT is a public institution, established in 1998 and as such THE INSTITUTION is the youngest Technical University in Spain. It is comprised of 7 Schools of Engineering, Business and Architecture and offers several Master and PhD Programmes.

LOCATION South-East of Spain (region of MURCIA) Address: Plaza del Cronista Isidoro Valverde, s/n - Edificio "Rectorado" - 30202 Cartagena - SPAIN MAIN ACTIVITY OF THE IT Service / Unidad de Informática PLACEMENT Management and development of the corporate IT services and infraestructures.

PLACEMENT OFFERED User’s help-desk and support in network administration.

The student will join our technical staff, working in the support (first and second level) of user´s requests and in the resolution of technical incidents and troubles.

The main tasks involve: attending help-desk requests, handling incidents related to user’s PCs (Windows, Linux), installing software and devices, LAN management.

STUDENT PROFILE Any degree in Computer Science or Telecommunication Engineering.

Knowledge of Spanish and English

Mature, responsible, organised, able to work on his/her own

TYPE OF STUDIES

LEVEL OF STUDIES Undergraduate (only last year students) or postgraduate/master students

DESIRED SKILLS Experience and Advanced knowledge in Operating Systems administration (Windows, Linux).

ACCOMMODATION In the University’s residences: about 540 € per month (subject to availability) or in a flat to be shared with other students (average 175 € per student per month)
