FRI1.2 - Course Catalog - Options and Opportunities (Meeting Room 7) Presenters: Amanda Hruska, Registrar, UW-Oshkosh; Jodi Hare-Paynter, Registrar, UW- Whitewater; Christine Bakkum, Registrar, UW-La Crosse

Come learn from UW-Universities about the implementation process and how the software has enhanced their university curriculum process and creation of the university catalog. Bring your questions and ideas to share with each other in a panel discussion.

FRI1.3 - Dashboard/Reporting Tips -Creating Dashboards That Can Be Used Across Your Campus. (Meeting Room 3) Presenter: John Standard, Institutional Planner, UW-Parkside

By partnering with your Institutional Research office, you can develop dashboard that can be shared across campus showing enrollment goals. This session will provide you with information on data to include in dashboards, how and when to report it and types of technology tools that can be used to create reports. FRI1.4 - Team Goal: Foster Youth to College! (Meeting Room 5A) Presenters: Pam Holsinger Fuchs, Executive Director of Enrollment Services and Director of Admissions, UW-Stout; Martha Bayer, Foster Youth, Northeast Wisconsin Technical College; Denny Roark, Outreach Specialist, UW Systems Administration

Foster youth are an invisible and underserved population with great need for our educational encouragement and support. Increasing awareness has motivated states, colleges and universities across the country to increase postsecondary access, affordability and opportunity. Though Wisconsin is not among leading states, there are opportunities and resources being created by caring campuses. UW-Stout and Northeast Wisconsin Technical College are blazing the trail for all of us to emulate. Join us to learn more!

FRI1.5 - Developing an International Recruitment Strategy (Meeting Room 5B) Presenter: Heather Pearson, Associate Director of Admissions, UW-Eau Claire

This session will explore many of the options available for international student recruitment. It will also look at suggested best practices for application review. Attendees will gain knowledge about recruitment strategies and develop a list of relevant questions to ask the stakeholders on their campuses as decisions are made about the role of international students in their enrollment plans.

FRI1.6 - Legislative Update (Meeting Room 6A/B) Presenters: Nancy Merrill, Senior Policy Advisor and Federal Regulations Officer, Wisconsin Technical College System; Wendy Wink, Executive Vice President, Wisconsin Association of Independent Colleges and Universities

Representatives from Wisconsin’s higher education sectors will preview likely and emerging state and federal legislative issues and proposals and their impact on Wisconsin students and institutions in anticipation of new legislative sessions in January 2015.
