Section 38-77-280(B) of the 1976 Code, as last 23 amended by Act 326 of 1996, is further amended to read: 24 25 “(B) Any automobile physical damage insurance coverage 26 deductible or policy deductible does not apply to automobile safety 27 glass. An insured, or qualified applicant, may elect to apply an 28 automobile physical damage insurance coverage deductible or 29 policy deductible to automobile safety glass, and the insurer must 30 inform the insured of this option. The insurer must provide to the 31 insured in writing a brief explanation of the deductible, a list of 32 available deductibles, and the range of premiums for deductibles. 33 The written material must include a space for the insured to mark 34 whether the insured chooses to accept or reject the deductible and a 35 space for the insured to sign that he has received this information.” 36 37 SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the 38 Governor. 39 ----XX----
