Guys & Gals singles Tournament Rules 2017

Eligibility: 1) Open to current 2016/2017 Winter league sanctioned bowlers of San Diego USBC bowling association jurisdiction with 21 or more games as of January 1, 2017. 2) Multi-Members shall have purchased a Multi-Member card (USBC rule 101) and also be currently bowling in a 2016/2017 Winter league under SDUSBC jurisdiction with 21 or more games as of January 1, 2017. (no cards sold on site)

Entering Average: 1) Shall be highest sanctioned 2015/2016 book (including 2016 summer) of at least 21 gms or current sanctioned winter league average of at least 21 gms as of Jan.1,2017 whichever is highest. 2) If none of the above, average of 169 for Women and 179 for Men shall be assigned. 3) If you bowl in only standard leagues, the highest standard average shall be used. If you only have a sanctioned (Sport/Challenge condition) average of 21 games or more, this average shall be re-rated according to USBC Rule Chart. If the bowler does not accept re-rated average, the entry fee shall be refunded. 4) USBC rule 319A-2 shall be applied and rule 319D shall be waived.

General Information & Rules: 1) Any NSF returned checks will cost $35.00 service fee plus any additional bank charges. 2) Bowlers shall not be entitled to refund after fees have been received and lane assignments issued by association. Exceptions shall be at the discretion of Tournament Manager. 3) The Tournament Manager may refuse entry to any individual from participating if determined that the entry does not meet membership or tournament requirements. 4) In the event a bowler is tardy, may still participate starting in the frame currently being bowled, however shall receive “zero” score for each frame missed. 5) In the event a bowler cannot continue tournament play due an injury or illness & no substitute is available, shall receive “zero” score for each frame missed. 6) Handicap is based on 90% of 200 scratch. 7) No practice is permitted on your scheduled lanes the day of tournament. 8) Awards: Women’s and Men’s Champion (2) 9) Prize Money: Shall be 100% returned and distributed as follows; (1) for every (6) entries for Women and Men.

Dress Code: 1) Collared, Mock-collard, collarless sports type t-shirt, dress shirts shall be permitted. Long pants, knee length walking shorts (as measured while standing upright) are also permissible. Unacceptable attire examples; Hats, tank/halter/spaghetti string tops, bare midriff, short-shorts, bib overalls, & jeans that are not neat or torn. Any dress code questions/concerns shall be addressed by Tournament Manager.
