Hazards Present

 Circular, fret and band saws  Planes  Routing machines  Drills Control Measures to be Implemented

 Power tool cutting edges, blades, routing and drill bits must be properly sharpened and/or set to avoid the possibility of shattering whilst in use.  Low voltage 110v tools used on outside work. Tools must be isolated from the power source before changing saw and planning blades, routing or drill bits  Only trained operatives to use/maintain cutting tools.

Risk assessments and method statements are issued to all workers involved in the activity. This generic assessment must be supplemented by a site specific risk assessment.
