Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week - 2013 Effingham County Middle School

Red Ribbon Week is a national drug awareness campaign celebrated each October. It began in 1985 after the death of Enrique Camerena, a federal enforcement agent who was killed in the line of duty. This celebration provides us with an opportunity to renew our commitment to a healthy and drug-free lifestyle. We will also focus on an anti-bullying message. This year’s overall theme is “PAWS and Think – Don’t Do Drugs!”
