Minutes Exchange of Metered Data Project, June 17th and 18th, 2008

1. Opening and introduction of new participants and observers Preben Høj Larsen returned and participates as the Danish representative.

2. Approval of agenda Agenda was approved.

3. Approval of the minutes With some updates for Swedish situation (see item 6.7) the minutes were approved.

4. Action list The action list was updated.

5. Review EMD distribution list Juraj was added to table of observers. Vlatka is going to ask Willem Strabbing again who is going to represent the vendor group in EMD (action: Vlatka). Representative for the Railway project was removed from the table of persons who are informed. Nameless representative for ETSO TF14 was removed from the table of persons who are informed

6. Status ebIX participation in Metering Europe conference this year Ad first we had decided to take part in Metering Europe. Later a workshop appeared to cost 30.000 euros and then ebIX Forum decided not to join this year. Maybe next year. Sponsoring from vendor group is then required. So this year ebIX Forum decided not to do anything. ebIX EMD came to another conclusion and will propose this to ebIX Forum (action: Vlatka). In order to make ourselves known to newly liberalizing countries we intend to present the final models and most of all some XML-schema versions of the Class Diagrams. We take one model and make an updated CC version and create the XML schemas for it and show it on the Metering Europe in a short presentation (see also RSM paragraph).

Side: 1 7. Report from: 7.1. ebIX 7.1.1. Forum 7.1.2. ETC modelling, meeting TMG 7.2. Harmonization Group Role model, updated version is to be commented, so all EMD members are asked to do so. Comments to the new version of the role model are requested before 18th of June. (action: all). Christian wants an integration of E- and G-role models. Maurizio opposed now in the HG the AccountingPoint update from EMVR. To inform the EMD members about the proposed update for the role model with respect to AccountingPoint and Block Energy the proposal will be distributed among EMD members and ask for comments before 24th of September (= next HG) (action: Kees). The HG decided to organize a workshop/seminar on the role model this fall, probably in Brussels or Berlin.

7.3. EMVR/UCTE The EMVR project has been closed. The last meeting (10) took place in May in Cologne.

7.4. Entso Vlatka showed the presentation for the entso work groups and committees. The idea is that under the market committee there will be a “regional TSO work group” and a “regional other group”. In this other group ebIX is supposed to find its place. It is still open whether this group can make binding rules. We think that the big issue still is the relation between upstream and downstream, or in other words the relation between the TSO regional group and the other regional group.

8. Comments from ebIX ETC regarding mapping information in our models We received comments from ebIX ETC to the mapping to Edifact as included in the annexes to the documents that have been distributed after the previous meeting. These comments partly have been included in the updated versions that have been distributed before this meeting. We discussed the place of the reference to the original document in the ERR-messages. We decided that we will map this reference also on the level of the document and not on the level of the message (which serves as an envelope around a set of documents).

9. Review of last model updates We reviewed Jan Owes comments to the models that have distributed before the meeting. We included part of the comments and answered the mails in which replies our comments and intended actions were specified. For all model documents discussed:  Version will be 1.0 (after the meeting when all documents have been discussed)  Status is for implementation (Forum already approved). Finalized:  Measure for Reconciliation  Settle for Reconciliation Updated, but not completed during the meeting:  Introduction; the role model picture has to be updated (action: Kees)  Measure for Imbalance Settlement: check for last update date in E66 and check diagram info (action: Kees)  Measure for Billing: add numbering to detailed descriptions part (action: Kees)  Determine switch stand: add diagram info to non-mapped CD’s; add numbering to detailed description parts (action: Kees)

11. Business Requirements Specification (BRS) for master data required by EMD models ebIX Forum has assigned us the task of creating BRS-versions for the master data required for the proper working of the information exchange described in our present model documents. We have started the work on these master data with the specification of the change of Metered Data Responsible. And we have started this from the Dutch document for this change. Due to time constraints we were not able to finalize this document during the meeting. Kees will prepare a draft version for the next meeting (action: Kees).

12. How can we improve data quality? Due to time constraints not discussed.

13. First trial RSM for Model Measure for Imbalance Settlement We decided to take our present models and derive from these CC’s = classes with attributes that are found over the various models (expected to be around 10-15 ABIE’s) and use basically our present QDT’s for specifying the BBIE’s within these ABIE’s. We will create XML schema versions of these ABIE’s and QDT’s. We will use the new ebIX XML code lists for defining the QDT’s. The need to adapt the naming of (and within) the QDT’s and the ABIE’s will be reviewed. If possible to follow the Naming and Design Rules by now already would be fine, but we cannot have the XML-schema versions too much deviate from the model documents (action: Kees). We will start to XML-schema’s for Measure for Imbalance Settlement also if possible for Measure, Determine switch stand. Both are to be presented on Metering Europe in September. We will discuss results next meeting (in August and therefore before Metering Europe in September).

14. Smart metering and Collected Data The presentation by an expert guest from ebIX Vendor Group proved to be impossible. Only a vendor from the UK volunteered, but he was not invited this meeting. We decided, that we may invite him next meeting (action: Vlatka).
