CREATING VISION

Our vision is to…

 Fulfill the Mission and Vision of our chapter: o The Financial Planning Association of Minnesota champions the value of the financial planning process and advances the financial planning profession with the CFP mark as its cornerstone. o Our primary aim is to benefit the public by helping to ensure that financial planning is delivered through proficient, ethical financial planners. o The FPA aim is achieved through its objectives: . Foster the success of competent, committed and ethical members; . Define and effectively communicate a common understanding of the discipline of personal financial planning and the many benefits of its use; . Build and grow the organization by bringing together those who champion the financial planning process with a shared vision; . Provide educational and networking opportunities to assist members in their efforts to achieve personal and professional fulfillment; . Unify the voice, focus and resources of the financial planning community; and . Advance brand awareness for professional financial planners, building the CFP certification as the hallmark of the brand.  We will do so by serving our communities through our profession.  Through service and action: demonstrate to the community at-large and community based organizations (CBOs) that FPA is the Heart of Financial Planning  Be a liaison between the Pro Bono Volunteers of FPA-MN and pro bono clients in need of sound financial planning consultation and education.  Coordinate with other FPA-MN committees to better serve our members and CBOs affiliated with our members, their pro bono clients, and other pro bono clients through one-on-one engagements.  Develop programs that meet the goals of our CBOs to serve those with needs, document the process, and share the template of partnership with other CBOs.
