Dear Parents,

What a treat we had at school today! Nationally acclaimed singer-storyteller Bill Harley performed for our children and he was wonderful. I hope you’ll ask your child about it at the dinner table tonight.

With over twenty recordings of songs and stories and four children’s books to his credit, Bill’s humorous, yet meaningful work chronicles the lives of children at school and at home. As a way of supporting our school community and helping us to provide additional cultural arts programming for our children, Bill has offered us a unique fundraising opportunity. Our school will earn 30% of all sales made in the next week through the enclosed brochure. I hope you will take the time to look through the brochure and consider purchasing some of his recordings. (You may want to ask your child for his/her favorites as we’ve been enjoying Bill’s work in our classrooms for the past month!)
