Mailing Coordinator
Mission Statement:
The Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church Stewardship Committee strives to educate members regarding stewardship, to increase awareness concerning our roles as stewards of God’s resources and realize that all we have is a gift from God. Also, to encourage our members to identify the spiritual gifts that God has entrusted to them and to use these gifts to further His Kingdom.
Description: The Mailing Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all Stewardship Committee mailings are completed in an accurate and timely manner. The Mailing Coordinator works closely with the Communication Coordinator to determine the timing of mailings. The coordinator is responsible for maintaining records for all Stewardship Committee mailings.
Qualifications: Spiritually mature, active member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church Recognized for his or her integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality Good organization and communication skills Attention to detail
Responsibilities: 1. Establish and lead a team with the goal of distributing all communication pieces of the Stewardship Committee. 2. Coordinate all paper and electronic mailings of the Stewardship Committee to Church members. Included but not limited to: quarterly newsletter, “thank you” notes, special communication pieces, inserts with offering envelopes and bulletins, etc. 3. Design and implement timely “thank you” note process and mailing for gifts received. 4. Maintain accurate contact lists for both paper and electronic mailings. 5. Ensure that appropriate postage is obtained for all mailings. 6. Ensure that all mailings have a professional appearance. 7. Maintain records of all stewardship mailings. 8. Communicate the timing and content of all mailings to appropriate Church staff.
Time Commitment: 4-6 hours per month Three-year commitment and may be renewed/extended at the discretion of the Executive Board.
Relationships: The Mailing Coordinator will work closely with ministerial staff, the Stewardship Committee, and primarily the Communication Coordinator.

Training: Training for the Mailing Coordinator will be provided by the outgoing Mailing Coordinator and the support of the Stewardship Committee members. One or two sessions may be necessary to review the current procedures. The incoming Mailing Coordinator may shadow the outgoing Mailing Coordinator for at least one quarter to observe the various mailing responsibilities. The outgoing Mailing Coordinator should be available for questions and issues until they are comfortable with the overall process.
