Lingnan University has a credit-based system similar to North American universities/colleges. Each course at Lingnan University carries 3 credits. Students normally take 5 to 6 courses, making a total of 15 to 18 credits per semester. By law, non-local students are required to take at least 12 credits in each semester while they are studying in Hong Kong in order to attain the full-time student status at Lingnan University.

Summer Session 3 March VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR EXCHANGE STUDENTS

Students should check with the HKSAR Immigration Department regarding their eligibility for student visa application before they decide to come to Hong Kong. The University is not responsible for getting student visas for non-local students but will render all necessary support to admitted students.

HOUSING AVAILABILITY FOR EXCHANGE STUDENTS

Students are required to live on campus and share room HK$6,210 (approximately US$798) per with a local student during the entire period of study at semester (the rate is under University’s Lingnan. Basically there is no particular restriction on selection of courses. Students are welcome to take any courses from across the undergraduate curriculum but some courses have pre-requisite requirements / major restrictions.
