NEPTUNE MIDDLE SCHOOL Morning announcements 1/30/17 – 2/3/17

8th Grade Students 1/30-2/3 Attention 8th grade students who are taking part in the DC trip: FINAL PAYMENT IS DUE February 9th. A list of students and balances due are posted outside of Mr. Greer’s office. Payments can be made at any time. Checks should be made payable to NMS Student Activities and can be turned in to Mrs. Maher in Guidance or to Mr. Greer.

All School Play 1/31 There will be rehearsal for the All School Play on Tuesday, Jan. 31 st immediately after school in room B108.

Art Club 1/30 Art Club will meet on Monday, Jan. 30th immediately after school in room A117.

Baseball 1/30 Monday, Jan. 30th at 2:15 p.m. there will be a brief meeting in D108 with Mr. Seber for anyone wishing to play baseball this spring. Anyone who cannot attend please see Mr. Seber in D108.

Snack Shack 1/30-2/3 The Snack Shack is open. Stop by for a snack and a drink immediately after school…everything is $1.00. Tuesday is “Pizza Tuesday”. Pizza is $2.00 a slice.

Spirit Day 1/30-2/3 Every Friday now until the end of the school year will be Spirit Day for both staff and students. NMS Spirit Wear is available for purchase. Short Sleeve t-shirts are $8, Long Sleeve t-shirts are $12, and Hoodies are $20. Items can be purchased during all lunches or by seeing Mr. Greer.

Spring Sports Physicals 1/30-2/3 Spring Sports Physicals will be held during gym/elective periods here at the Middle School on Monday, Feb. 13th. All paperwork must be completed and handed in to the nurse by Wednesday, Feb. 8th.

Track 2/1 Students interested in joining TRACK, please come to the informational meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 1st in the Community Room right after school. This meeting will last approximately 20 minutes. Please arrange for a ride home. NEPTUNE MIDDLE SCHOOL Morning announcements 2016-2017

Aerosol Spray Students are not permitted to bring any aerosol spray or any other type of spray to school. Any student found with any type of spray in their possession will not only have the item confiscated but may receive a disciplinary consequence.

After School Locker Usage Students who attend any after school club, sports function, homework help, Office Detention, etc. are required to go to their locker immediately at the end of the school day. No students will be permitted to go to their lockers afterwards.

Basketball Courts Because of the escalating discipline problems and lates to homeroom, the basketball courts will be off limits to all Middle School students before school. Any student in the area before school begins will receive Office Detention.

Cupcakes/Baked Items Due to health, safety and student allergies, CUPCAKES/BAKED ITEMS are no longer allowed to be brought in to the Middle School.

Faculty Parking Lot NO STUDENTS are allowed in the faculty parking lot. Students MUST use the sidewalks! Any student found in the parking lot will receive Office Detention.

Footwear Students are not permitted to wear footwear intended for the beach which is to include flip flips and Adidas or like Adidas slides. Any student found wearing such footwear will receive Office Detention.

Leggings Leggings are prohibited in school unless a fingertip length approved garment is worn over the leggings. Any student found not complying with the school dress code will be sent to ISS.

Open Bottles/Food The school does not allow students to bring open bottles, etc. into the school. This includes thermal coffee mugs and cups. Additionally, no food or drinks are allowed in the classroom.

JUST A REMINDER: ANY NMS STUDENT WHO IS SEEN THROWING A SNOWBALL WILL RECEIVE SATURDAY DETENTION. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS FORM OF HORSEPLAY AND CAN RESULT IN INJURY!
