 Karin asked group for input re: presentation that she was invited to give for I-Lab user meeting. Focus of meeting is methods for encouraging shared use of core facilities across region/state. Sobha recommended that Karin contact Connie Nicklin at UF. Tristan noted that Florida Energy Systems Consortium shares RFP’s as a way of promoting collaboration. Life Sciences South Florida (LSSF) has been working for years to develop resource portal, but not yet operational. Group discussion ensued, with general agreement that a register containing descriptions of universities’ core facilities and contact information would be very helpful in jump-starting collaboration and strengthening grant applications.

1. Karin to inquire about status of resource portal at next LSSF meeting. 2. Time permitting, group will discuss core facilities at February meeting in Orlando.
