PLANS ARE UNDERWAY FOR THE 1ST: ROCKIN’ AND ROASTING ON THE RIVER!

The Chamber of Commerce is introducing a new fall event, “ROCKIN’ AND ROASTING ON THE th th RIVER”, that is scheduled for September 28 & 29 in downtown New Roads at Morrison Parkway. This event will be the 1st Officially Sanctioned Barbecue Cook-off in our area with fun activities for the whole family.

The celebration starts on Friday, September 28th with “Live Music by PVR” at 6:30 pm. till 9:30 pm with a “Smoke on the Water Lighted Boat Parade” at 8:00 pm and you will be able to enjoy food, drinks and fun!

On Saturday, September 29th the day starts off at 8:00 am with the “1st Officially Sanctioned Barbecue Cook-off “, live entertainment kicks off at 9:30 am till 4:00 pm with food, drinks & fun!

Calling all kids on Saturday...... we will have fun jumps from 9:30 am till 4:00 pm, and a “Kids Fishing Tournament” at 8:00 am till 11:00 am, that’s going to be a blast.

The event will appeal to people of all ages with a wide variety of arts, crafts, and homemade goodies available beginning on Saturday at 9:30 am till 4:00 pm. Stop by to enjoy the live entertainment, food and fun!

Be sure to stop in to take a chance to win a “Barbecue Pit” or a “Cypress Rocker”.
