Realistic Literature Final Project

Create a product (poster, brochure, pamphlet, etc.) in which you show how works written within the era of Realism reflect its values and characteristics.

You may choose a work we read in class, another piece from the literature book, or any other text written during this period in American literature. Use the “Is It Realism?” chart to prepare for this project.

Your final product should:  Identify the work, author, and year of publication  Include a brief biography of the author  Identify three characteristics of Realism  Show how the chosen text embodies the characteristics of Realism with at least two examples for each characteristic  Be creative and aesthetically pleasing
