HURON HOCKEY AND SKATING ASSOCIATION 2014-2015 CODE OF CONDUCT

HHSA RULES FOR 2014-2015 SEASON PLEASE READ, AGREE TO, AND SIGN AT THE BOTTOM

1. Every participant must be properly registered through HHSA with approved insurance. 2. Every participant must abide by USA-MAHA-HHSA (or its equivalent) rules. 3. Every participant must sign USA Waiver of Liability along with USA Code of Conduct AND HHSA Code of Conduct in order to participate. 4. The following violations by anyone at HHSA facility may result in immediate suspension from all HHSA property until HHSA Board disciplinary hearing where future suspension length will be decided upon:

1. Damaging Facility – (UPON REVIEW OF THE DISCIPLINARY BOARD WITH CURRENT VIOLATION OF ITEM #1, DAMAGING FACILITY, YOU ARE FORMALLY NOTIFIED THIS IS YOUR FINAL WARNING AND ANY FURTHER INCIDENT ON PREMISE WILL REMOVE YOU FROM THE TEAM AND THE ENTIRE FACILITY FOR THE REMAINDER OF 2012-2013 SEASON) 2. Gross unsportsmanlike conduct 3. Violating HHSA pre-approved rules of outside organizations (ex. Geezer and Adult Leagues). 4. Fighting 5. One gross or one match or two game misconducts 6. Intentional injuries 7. Criminal activity 8. Verbal, physical, or mental abuse of officials, staff, spectators, or players 9. Use of profanity 10. Use of alcohol, tobacco, or illegal drugs on HHSA property

Any of the above infractions will result in one HHSA Disciplinary Board hearing where disciplinary action will be decided by a majority Board vote.

5. All Ice Fees are non-refundable 6. HHSA reserves the right to amend Code of Conduct at any time with a majority Board vote 7. Full protective gear (including full face shield) is required for anyone playing or practicing hockey on HHSA rink. (Full-face shields are not required in the Adult and Geezer Leagues, but are highly recommended). 8. No one may remain on the ice when the Zamboni is in use 9. Officials and HHSA Members are required to enforce rules and report any violations of HHSA Code of Conduct to HHSA President within 24 hours of infraction. 10. Pertains to Youth Programs: Five hours of volunteer labor per family per season is required: (Examples: coaching, refereeing, concession stand, snowplowing, rink maintenance, rink construction, and committee work). Or you can pay $25.00 and we can hire someone to work your hours.
