Meeting called to order at 9:30 by Katherine Hillier. Present were Linda Dowal, Pat Hanscomb, Erin Apostolos, Nancy McCue, Rob Sargent, Bobbi Lee Slossar, Jon Kinnaman, Deann Hunter, Jackie Heath, Katherine Dormody, Joanne Hansen, Carole Elliott, Cab Vinton, Katherine Hillier, and Mary Ahlgren. Minutes of the January meeting were accepted after a motion by Jon K, seconded by Nancy M. Treasurer Nancy M reported no changes. State library tech guru Bobbi Slossar gave the state library report: Stats due April 20th Many classes available including how to use Ebsco admin to customize Ebsco and lots of social networking classes Overdrive will be adding a few ipod compatible books and soon needing a clean list of barcodes for each library’s patron

Dvd coop report: Jon K. made a motion for a by $25 annual fee to be paid by the May meeting, by all DVD coop members. Seconded by Erin A . Passed unanimously. Erin suggested that we have more foreign films

ALA Rob reported that he is resigning from counsellorship. Questions about the ALA survey which is out currently. The survey does not address small libraries… Lots of discussion

READS roundtables are this month.…..one is the 27th in Plymouth

LAKES REGION READS: Erin reported on progress…keep it local. Get independent bookstores and other organizations on board. Right book is crucial. Author visit key. (live author) slow time of year. Use local donors. Each library does its own discussion. (Laconia is doing the Arrival this year) Probably in fall of 2010. S and M would pick the book…suggestions will be forthcoming and we will discuss at May meeting. Joe Monniger , Sy Montomery, have already been mentioned.

I will try to attach the information for the Library Store, but you have already received it so may not need it. (not all of this info was actually discussed at the meeting)

Jon will work on developing an S and M web site with DVD info and possibly minutes Next meeting is in New Hampton and we will play the Libraryland game as well as discuss the coop-wide discussion book…. May 14th, 9 for 9:30 Adjourned at 10:40 Respectfully submitted, Mary Ahlgren
