VOLUNTEER SPONSOR REGISTRATION

WHEN: JUNE 12-16, 2017 Registration begins Monday, June 12 @ 2:00 p.m. Camp ends Friday, June 16 @ 12 noon

WHERE: Pinecrest Campground, 1252 Hwy C Fredericktown, MO 63645 (573) 783-3534 (emergency purposes only please) WHAT’S PLANNED FOR THIS YEAR’S CAMP? We have a lot of really great things planned for Teen Camp this year! Our speaker will be our very own Kyle Rainbolt, Lead Pastor at Trinity Church of the Nazarene in Florissant, Missouri. Students from Mid-America Nazarene University will lead us in worship. Of course, there will be the usual things too: a great missionary, lots of games, breakout sessions, and much more!

WHAT TO BRING: Casual clothes: t-shirts, shorts, shoes, jeans, etc. Please keep clothing modest – NO short shorts, strapless tops, midriffs, etc. Swimsuits may be worn ONLY during swimming. Girls must wear one-piece swimsuits. Please also remember a sleeping bag, toothbrush and toothpaste, soap and shampoo, deodorant, sunscreen, a towel, a flashlight, money for snacks, a notebook, pen and pencil, and of course your Bible!

WHAT NOT TO BRING: Please do not bring computers, fireworks, and illegal substances. Please be advised that the Camp Director and the staff reserve the right to send any camper home at the parents’ expense.

I’M COMING! NOW WHAT? This year’s registration process will be entirely on-line. There will be no paper forms, so please visit monyi.org to complete the volunteer sponsor registration process. This on-line registration will allow our staff to better care for our students and sponsors. If you have any questions about the on-line form, please contact the Camp Director.

VOLUNTEER SPONSOR FORMS TO COMPLETE  Volunteer Sponsor Application – Please complete this on-line at www.monyi.org prior to May 11.  Pastoral Recommendation Form – Please have your Pastor complete this paper form. Please mail the completed form to the Camp Director at the address listed below postmarked by May 11.  Background Check – It is Missouri District policy that all sponsors of overnight events for youth under the age of 18 must have a valid background check within 3 years prior to the event. It is the local church's responsibility to verify with the Camp Director that an applicant has passed a background check. If you have questions regarding how to obtain a background check, please contact the District Office. An applicant who has not cleared a background check will not be allowed to serve as a volunteer at Teen Camp.

It is very important that all these forms be completed by May 11. If they are not completed, we cannot allow you to stay with the students during camp.

Please note: all adult volunteers must have teens attending this year’s camp unless otherwise approved by Camp Director. In addition, all churches sending students to camp must also provide an adult sponsor to stay with them.

Prior to your arrival at Teen Camp, we would like all adult volunteers to review the Missouri District Teen Camp Worker Handbook found at www.monyi.org/handbook.
