FOOTBALL AND GIRLS SOCCER BEGIN ON AUGUST 11 FIELD HOCKEY BEGINS ON AUGUST 12 OTHER FALL SPORT TRYOUTS BEGIN AUGUST 18 OR 19 (SEE BELOW) Tentative Preseason Practice and Scrimmage schedules are posted on the school website Athletic Overview tab with the following link: www.schedulestar.com. Coaches will also forward schedules to all families via email and will communicate all practice and walkthrough schedule changes directly to the student athletes. Please note that all schedules are subject to change. Additionally, all scrimmage and game changes will be corrected on the school’s website and all registered parties will receive an email message from www.schedulestar.com regarding these changes – please remember to register! CHEERLEADING : Head Coach - Ms. Jessica Menzella - ext. 340 [email protected] Practice for tryouts will be held on Monday, August 18th & Tuesday August 19th from 9am-11am in the wrestling gym. Tryouts in front of a panel of judges will take place on Wednesday, August 20th at 3PM in the back gym. Cheerleaders who make the fall squad will have mandatory team practices at NH every weekday during the week of 8/25 through Friday 8/29 from 9am-11am. There will be no practices held on Labor Day weekend. Please bring water and/or Gatorade to all practices. Wear comfortable clothing and sneakers, pull your hair away from your face and do not wear jewelry.

There are no tryouts for Cross Country - Student athletes will meet at the track at 6:30PM on Monday, August 18. Please bring water and/or Gatorade. Returning runners should be prepared to run 5 or more miles and newcomers 2 miles. Note: Students will have off on the Sunday and Monday of Labor Day weekend.

Student athletes will meet on the Field Hockey field at 9 AM on August 12. Tryouts are single sessions with some strategic walkthroughs, 10:00AM-1:00PM and 1:00-4:00PM every day until school begins. For more detailed information regarding tryout times, please refer to the calendar on www.nhfieldhockey.com Please bring water and/or Gatorade and be prepared to run daily - 3 or more miles and additional sprints. Because of the early start to preseason this year, athletes will have weekends off with the exception of August 23 and August 30. Field Hockey will not practice on Sunday and Monday of Labor Day weekend.

Student athletes will meet in the locker room at 7:00AM on August 11. The football program will have some double practice sessions and will also have walkthrough sessions daily. Coach will distribute details/schedules. Please bring water and/or Gatorade. Lunch will be provided on days that there are double sessions. Interested athletes may use the Wellness Center for Weight Training during the summer on Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays at 5PM. Labor Day weekend schedule: Saturday scrimmage, Sunday off and Monday practice after 5pm.

Student athletes who were members of the Boys Soccer program last year will meet in the locker room at 4PM on August 18. Student athletes who were NOT members of the soccer program last year (including incoming Freshmen) will meet outside the locker rooms at 1:00PM on August 19 (new students to NH including 9th graders). Tryouts will conclude on Thursday 8/21. Please bring water and/or Gatorade, snacks and be prepared to run 3 or more miles and additional sprints (bring sneakers for track running). Labor Day weekend schedule: Saturday scrimmages; Sunday off; Monday practice after 4pm.

Student athletes will meet between 7-9AM at the track beginning on August 11. Tryouts and practices will include some double sessions, as well as daily walkthroughs through August 29. Please bring water and/or Gatorade, snacks and be prepared to run 3 or more miles and additional sprints (bring sneakers, cleats, and shin guards to each session). Labor Day weekend schedule: Saturday morning practice, Sunday off and possible Monday late afternoon practice (TBA).

On August 19 student athletes will meet at the varsity tennis courts at the times designated on Coach Broking’s NH school wires page. There will be try-out groups reporting at different times throughout the day. Student athletes trying out should bring one can of tennis balls, beverages/snacks, and appropriate tennis gear. Please be flexible during the try-out process as we want to provide a fair opportunity for all student athletes to compete. Please refer to the coach’s school wires page for all information concerning clearance from the Athletic Director’s office, try-out guidelines, and scheduling.

Tryouts will begin on August 18, 9:30AM –12:30PM in the front gym. On August 19 and 20, there will be split sessions. On August 21, 22 and 23 practice will be from 9:30AM– 11:30AM – all levels. Student athletes should bring snacks and beverages such as water and/or Gatorade. Note: Students will not have practice on Sunday and Monday of Labor Day weekend.
