2016 Summer Camp Themes

 Week 1

June 27 - July 1: Fun with Fitness Week Let’s start off our summer camp with unique camp fun. Schools out and summer fun begins! What will the campers fitness goals be? To have FUN!!! Fitness activities may include relay races, pit races, obstacle course, and team building games. Also during this week, campers will bring an item to tye-dye! Let’s show the colors of summer.

 Week 2

July 5 – July 8 Our Air Time campers and families asked for more gymnastics week and we heard their request. They enjoyed Gymnastics Week so much; we brought it back for 4 weeks!! We will introduce safe gymnastics skills to our campers. We will start with a warm up and then the fun will start. The campers will do basic beam skills, basic floor skills; have tumble track and trampoline time. At the end of the week, campers will choose their favorite skill and share it with the group.

 Week 3

July 11- July 15 We will play and create our day away during our Arts and Crafts Galore Week. We will be creative, original, and clever. We will be working with each child’s own ideas, working as a group, and sharing designs. Some of the items we anticipate trying are using egg cartons, paints, bubble-wrap, tin cans, magazines, and outdoor elements. Campers will create a huge “Spectacular Sparkly” collage to display in the gym.

 Week 4

July 18 - July 22 Gymnastics Week We will introduce safe gymnastics skills to our campers. We will start with a conditioning warm up and let the excitement begin. Throughout this week they will be doing basic beam skills, basic floor skills, trampoline time and tumble track. Stretching, conditioning, and gymnastics games will happen throughout the week. What skill will your gymnastics camper share with you?

 Week 5

July 25- July 29 “Just be a Kid” Week….Games/Games/Games We will play our week away with a week of energetic games. We will play “Air Time Dodge-ball”, Balance beam games, “Air Time earthquake”, Doctor Dodge-ball, Ships & Sailors just to name a few. If your camper has a group game, card game or board game they would like to share during this week…..that would be GREAT! We will have FUN-tastic week. 

 Week 6

August 1 - August 5 Gymnastics Week We will continue to introduce safe gymnastics skills to our campers. Throughout this week campers will do basic bar skills, simple floor skills, and trampoline time as well as tumble track fun. Racing in the pit to build endurance, timed bar games, and creating a short “fun” routine with the campers is our hope. The campers will work hard on their favorite skills and we will be helpful in creating goals for each camper.

 Week 7

August 8 -August 12 Week of Wet Fun

Who likes to get wet when it is hot outside? EVERYONE! Campers will enjoy water games, tie-dye, and the waterslide. We ask campers to bring a towel and a change of clothes as well as an item to tie-dye. Campers will play wet games outside, have some sprinkler fun, and a wild water balloon toss. Let’s see what we can do with side walk chalk, beach balls, beach pails, and water balloons.

 Week 8

August 15 - August 19 Calling all gymnast for our fourth week during the summer!!

Gymnastics Week We will introduce safe gymnastics skills to our campers. We will start with a conditioning warm up and review safety rules. Throughout this week they will be doing basic beam skills, basic floor skills, trampoline time and tumble track. The campers will create a friendship bracelet to share with a new/old friend to share the memory. Our goal is for the kids to stay fit and have fun!

 Week 9

August 22 - August 26 Anything Goes Week {Requested by previous campers}

We will end our summer camp sessions by doing just about anything fun, safe, and creative. Our silly campers will have a blast playing different games, create crafts, build a fort using gym equipment, use the pit blocks for original fun, listen and dance to music, do sidewalk chalk creations, have fun with water balloons, have a jump rope contest, hula-hoop contest, water balloon toss games – you name it – we can try it.

Important note to parents/guardians: Thank you for considering Air Time Gymnastics for camp. For staffing purposes, all campers need to be pre-registered for participating week(s), have a signed waiver, and payment made by the first day of camp of the participating week.
