1999 – 2004 TURKMENISTAN – NORTH DAKOTA PARTNERSHIP PROJECT UNIVERSITY OF NORTH DAKOTA COLLEGE OF NURSING GRAND FORKS, ND ~ ASSISTANT COORDINATOR  Serve as North Dakota liaison to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the American International Health Alliance, Inc. (AIHA) and the Turkmenistan and North Dakota partners.  Responsible for budgeting and fiscal management.  Assist the Coordinator with partnership activities.  Represent North Dakota partners, USAID and AIHA at meetings with the Turkmenistan Ministry of Health.  Design primary care training manual and train the trainer manual for the Primary Care Training Center in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.  Develop project evaluation tool; report progress on a quarterly basis.

1995 – 2000 NORTH DAKOTA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH 1999-2000 BISMARCK, ND ~ OFFICE OF HEALTH DATA DIRECTOR  Oversee the North Dakota Department of Health Data Systems.  Serve as the Primary Investigator for the Robert Wood Johnson Family Survey project.  Serve as the Co-Project Manager for the North Dakota Children’s Health Study.  Provide health data consultation to state and private entities.  Design data systems that support assessment activities, outcome measurements and evaluations.  Represent the department on data issues that involve federal, state and local agencies, and private entities.  Develop methodologies, which include linking various data sets, to examine outcomes and evaluate health care costs.  Design, develop and conduct training seminars on using, interpreting and presenting data.  Write and present testimony for the state legislature.  Design and give presentations to various audiences at local, state and national forums.

1998 - 1999 PREVENTIVE HEALTH SECTION CHIEF  Responsible for the following divisions in the Preventive Health Section:

 Disease Control  Food and Lodging  Health Promotion and Education  Maternal and Child Health  Microbiology  Oversee a $25,000,000 annual budget with 78 FTEs.  Represent the State Health Officer.  Design and develop health policies.  Collaborate with local public health agencies.
