Dear Parents

We are very fortunate at Rowledge CE Primary School to have an enthusiastic, dedicated and hard working Governing Body.

The role of governors is to provide support and challenge to the Head Teacher and the Senior Leadership Team.

Here is some of the work that we do: . Ensuring that your child is taught the National Curriculum . Making sure that your child is safe . Strategically plan for the school’s future . Interview for new staff . Ensure that the school’s finances are in order  Hold the school to account over the provision of education.  Provide performance management for the Head Teacher

Governors do not need to have any particular qualifications, but we attend regular training and keep abreast of current issues concerning education locally and nationally.

Our Governing Body is made up of representatives from the school and its community and we meet regularly as a large group and as smaller committees, in order to work with the Head Teacher and Staff to push the school forward. As of September 2013 our Governing Body is made up from the following people:

Rowledge School is a very successful school that is full of life, giving the children a wonderful depth and breadth to their Primary Education.
