Josepha Gayer's many successes include her Metropolitan Opera de- but in Jenufa. She has sung with Lyric Opera of Chicago, Houston Grand Opera, San Francisco Opera, Los Angeles Opera, Santa Fe Opera, New York City Opera, Opera Theatre of St. Louis, L’Opera de Nice, Glimmerglass Opera, Pittsburgh Opera, Boston Lyric Opera,, Vancouver Opera, Washington Opera, Tulsa Opera, Opera Pacific, Portland Opera, Utah Opera, Madison Opera, Virginia Opera, Opera Columbus and Cleveland Opera and Milwaukee Florentine Opera, among others.
Ms. Gayer has participated in several world premieres, including An- dré Previn's A Streetcar Named Desire (PBS), Tobias Picker's Emme- line (also on PBS and Albany Records), Mr. Picker's Fantastic Mr. Fox, David Carlson's Anna Karenina, and Minoro Miki’s The Tale of Genji.
Josepha Gayer has received widespread acclaim for concert appear- ances in Mahler's Symphony No. 3, the Verdi Requiem, Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 in venues across the country, including Carnegie Hall, Cleveland Orchestra, Pittsburgh Symphony, Fort Worth Sym- phony, San Antonio Symphony and Akron Symphony, among others.
