I am requesting approval to attend CUNA HR Compliance School, in Partnership with CU Doctor, LLC, taking place October 9-12, 2016 in Phoenix, AZ. To provide some background, this school provides an opportunity for novice to experienced credit union HR professionals to further their HR compliance knowledge. Content is tailored to provide students with HR compliance education that addresses the specific needs of the credit union industry. Students begin with learning core HR regulations followed by instructor-led classroom training on the “how to” of HR compliance. In addition, students will have the opportunity to become recognized in their field by earning the CUNA Credit Union HR Compliance Professional (CUHRCP) designation.

The school is taught by HR compliance practitioners and attorneys in the credit union industry. CUNA HR Compliance School will allow me to gain the HR compliance education I need to be successful in my role, continue my professional development, understand the industry and where it is headed, and provide me with the education and resources needed to support our HR compliance efforts.

By attending this school, I will:

 Gain recognition and be the professional our credit union turns to for HR compliance expertise  Learn content specific to credit union HR compliance  Truly understand HR regulations and their implications  Understand how to apply what I have learned

If I register early, I may be able to take advantage of discounted registration pricing. In addition, I’ll submit a post-event report that will include a summary of what I learned and how it supports our organizational goals.
