PET SITTING AGREEMENT-BOARDING IN OUR HOME
This agreement is between Barb's Pet and People Care ("BPPC") and ______
______(Client) for pet sitting services beginning on ______and thereafter on an as-needed basis.
1. BPPC agrees to provide excellent pet care services to your animals during your time away. Our motto is to treat your pets as we would our own. If BPPC has any questions and/or concerns, Client will be contacted immediately either by phone or text message.
2. Client agrees to provide BPPC with contact information where he/she can be reached while away. Client will also provide a name and phone number of someone who is authorized to handle any major problems that may arise. If Client or designated contact person cannot be reached in a timely manner, Client agrees to accept any decision BPPC makes in regard to pet care.
3. Client agrees that in the event their pet requires medical care, BPPC is authorized to take the pet to Client's designated veterinarian and/or emergency clinic should it be after hours. Every attempt will be made to contact Client and/or other emergency contact persons prior to obtaining veterinary care. However, Client agrees that BPPC has the authority to act in the pet's best interest even if this means seeking medical attention prior to notifying Client. Client agrees to reimburse BPPC for any expenses or additional fees incurred.
4. In the event of a personal emergency or serious illness of pet sitter, Client authorizes BPPC to arrange for another qualified person to fulfill the agreed upon responsibilities during that time period. Client will be notified immediately. BPPC will make every attempt to resolve the emergency, illness or injury and return to the care of your pet(s) as soon as possible. 5. BPPC will contact Client 48 hours prior to beginning services to confirm Client's departure day/time. BPPC will also be contacted by Client should their plans change and they decide to arrive home earlier than expected, or extend their trip in order for BPPC to revise their schedules.
6. BPPC requires at least a 48-hour notification from Client if their plans to travel are cancelled. This allows BPPC to book another client for the reserved days/times. If Client gives less than a 24-hour notice, Client agrees to pay 50% of the reserved services. This does not include a personal family emergency or inclement weather prohibiting travel.
7. Pet sitting services will be provided at the rates discussed and shown on the BPPC website. Full payment must be made at the completion of services. If payment is made with a check, and if the check is returned by the bank for insufficient funds, Client agrees to reimburse BPPC for the total pet sitting services and any bank service charges BPPC has incurred.
8. BPPC agrees to provide pet sitting services in a caring and responsible manner. Client waives and relinquishes any and all claims against BPPC, its employees and/or independent contractors, except those arising from negligence of the pet sitter. Client agrees to notify BPPC of any concerns related to the agreed upon services within 24 hours of returning home. All employees of BPPC are bonded and insured through Pet Sitters Associates.
9. Client will be responsible for any damage to BPPC's premises caused by their pet while in the care of BPPC.
10. If a pet has a history of biting or other aggressive behavior, BPPC reserves the right to refuse or cancel service. Client will be liable for the pet sitter's medical expenses and/or damages that are the result of an animal bite or injury due to a pet's aggressive behavior.
11. Client agrees to provide BPPC with proof of current vaccinations for all pets. Should pet sitter be bitten or otherwise exposed to any disease or ailment received from Client's animal, Client agrees to pay all costs and damages incurred.
Client acknowledges that he/she has read this entire agreement, and that he/she understands and agrees to its Terms and Conditions.
